Several weeks ago, I was having a conversation with a gentleman I respect very much. He brought up the idea of Tunica County jobs going to Tunica County residents. I’ve been thinking about this ever since and have decided this idea makes a lot of sense.
I now believe that jobs that are paid for by Tunica County government dollars or agencies that accept funding from Tunica County government need to employ Tunica County residents. We already have “Shop Tunica First.” Why not “Employ Tunica First?”
