Time to get back to work

So, the new administration is a disaster.  Thanks Republicans.  We Dems gave you a pass on Bush43 and now we are all paying the price.

What can we do?  We can start by holding our two Republican Senators' feet to the fire.

I've written opposing Rex Tillerson, Jeff Sessions, Tom Price and Betsy DeVos. Betsy DeVos?  Oh please, we've just gotten our public education in Tunica back on track. DeVos is plainly unqualified. You too can write and call Wicker and Cochran and when they write back?  Tell them to stop with the Republican Party talking points and start listening to their constituents.

Here's what's going on on Tuesday, 31 Jan 2017 at 10a.  Thanks to Kelly Jacobs for setting this up.

RESIST TRUMP: TUESDAY 1/31 ACTION!

If you want to join America & some local DeSoto County Trump Resistance, and tell US Senator Rodger Wicker how you would like him to vote ( On Education Cabinet nominee DeVos or anything else he is voting on this coming week) then please join us this Tuesday, January 31st, at 10 a.m. at Rodger Wicker's office on the south side of the square 321 Losher Street, in Hernando and if you can wear something RED to support education. (Last Tuesday's contact resulted in an email reply from Senator Wicker that stated he did not yet know how he was going to vote on DeVos.)
We will be taking photos and sharing them with the Press, taking Facebook live videos and sharing them because we want other Mississippians to know that the Trump Administration, his choices for his cabinet, and his executive orders are wrong for Mississippi, and some are illegal.
Please write/bring a short letter and be prepared to give it to Wicker's office manager (and a copy to the commercial appeal, to the DeSoto times-tribune, and to the Clarion Ledger). Your letter can be addressed to Senator wicker or as a letter to the editor using 250 words or less so that it will be considered for print.
If you bring copies of your letter to the 10am Action, please give them to me and I will forward them to the press as a group.
EVERY Tuesday (& any other day you wish) is a day of protest/action when all Americans are asked to contact our two US senators by MoveOn.org and other groups like Indivisible DeSoto. Indivisible DeSoto had their first public meeting on Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Hernando Library, and we chose this Tuesday 1/31 to be our first action together.
Please wear something red, make a sign, write a letter and join us!
Please know that if our US Senators vote on Monday on DeVos then I will make another post to suggest our main topic. The main thrust of our action must be something that the senator is working on this week.
Contact Wicker/Cochran (preferably) in person, by telephone, by letter or by all three. Please call their Washington DC offices.
